Chicken burger was average at best and the chips tasted old. Definitely not worth the very high price point they are charging and $5 for a can of lemonade was rather steep. The options to order were extremely limited and no option to customise, not even their pizzas which are arguably one of the easiest customisable foods to make. Didn’t try the craft brews but won’t be coming back for food anytime soon.
Definitely not the place it used to be. Menu revised way down although the hot chips were good. Beers, good. Couldn't get service for wine tasting, would assume because we weren't with tourist bus. Therein lies the problem. Geared more to tourist buses than Aussies. What a shame, we've been coming here for over 10 years and have seen a downhill slide toward the Aussie patrons. Is this reverse racism?
We won't be back. We DO understand the need for regular business but what about good old national loyalty.
Used to be a mandatory holiday stop for the extended family but it has changed and we will look elsewhere. Share platters are getting smaller. The food is still good but it used to be great, portion size has shrunk, and for people who have been coming for years, it is disappointing.
On the plus side, the beer selection is still good.
Our group enjoyed our visit to Murray's. It was a very hot day, so wasn't very busy. We had some tables under a shade structure, which helped, but it was still hot. We shared a range of the freshly made pizzas. These were delicious. The staff behind the bar were great. Bodie was especially helpful for our whole group. As others have said, we had to order via the app. We asked about an alternative, but were told that was the only option.
Extremely poor service, no one greeted us and when collecting/buying drinks were spoken to extremely poorly. The price of food is outrageous considering the below average meals that we received. The fried chicken was dry, paid 12 dollars for a half full bowl of chips and left without finishing due to the food not being worth eating. Would not go if you want any sort of quality hospitality or food.
$14 for a bowl of salty chips from my hard earned money and and ordinary burger for $26 is not justified especially when there is no table service and just QR code ordering. $13 for 2 beers. The place was swarming with selfie-taking Asian tourist who blocked the whole entrance and shop. One visit was enough.
Amazing place, great food and drinks. Massive shame that the bar is too small and under staffed. Also can’t understand why they don’t have food runner to bring the food out to tables. On a busy day, people not sure when their food is ready so have to go and wait outside kitchen.
Such a shame.. we used to frequent Murray's brewery every couple of weeks.
They seem to have made their target market toward touring Asians, I'm not racist be any means but what about the Aussie market don't we also deserve to be treated on the same level.
I used to love there Port I waited at the counter for service. Unfortunately after 5 minutes of waiting we walked out. A bottle of port is nothing to them now, but leaves nothing but a sour taste.
Unfortunately our days at Murray's are over.
